So Fanime was absolutely bonkers. I’m totally blown away. Thank you to everyone who visited my table; it was especially spectacular meeting so many Sherlock fans and getting a chance to share my weird obsessions. You are all amazing <3
To celebrate the release of Wreck and finally crossing this big deadline that’s been looming over me, I wanna do a short giveaway! I haven’t done this before so please forgive me if I do something super wrong @w@;;
Please read all the details under the cut!

You can vote for Benedict or Martin to win best actor and Sherlock to win best drama series at :-

http://www.tvchoicemagazine.co.uk/tv-choice-awards-vote-2012

You can also vote for Benedict as a Great of Great Britain at :-

http://www.thegreatexhibition2012.co.uk/greats

Seriously, looking at that list the last thing I want is to vote for Benedict.

In fact, why don’t we stop voting and let Benedict disappear from this list all together, he doesn’t belong there.

This time, Pegg isn’t the only Brit in the world of Starfleet. Benedict Cumberbatch has been cast as a villain. Pegg is full of praise for Cumberbatch’s baddy, whom he describes as “not just another disgruntled alien. It’s a really interesting… sort of… thing,” he squirms. “Obviously I can’t…

I sound like Simon Pegg, grumbling about Benedict NOT playing Khan.

I will not believe it until it’s writen on the movie screen in front of me.

Matt Smith and Benedict Cumberbatch presenting at the 2012 BAFTAs.

I just like to point out that Benedict is like - I should stand still I’m on television, I must be serious. And Matt is like - Who is rockin that boat. Seriously. This man can’t stay still. And that reminded me that Matt Auditioned for Watson in Sherlock. This would be very different show.

Yeah, Benedict is all “I’m a grown up, I behave” and Matt’s just “I’m Doctor Who, WO-HOOOOO!”.

Never change Matt Smith, never change.

After recent events, this seemed an appropriate follow-up to one of my previous gifsets, also included above.

Congratulations, Andrew Scott!

This made me giggle.

IT’S LIKE GIVING AN AWARD TO A BABY OSTRICH

BEST MOMENT OF THE NIGHT!

And I loved how loud the reaction of the crowd was. I think deep down, most people were rooting for Andrew. I mean, as soon as The Reichenbach Falls credits rolled on the screen I said “BAFTA nomination for Martin and Andrew”, but even though I thought he deserved to win, I wasn’t really expecting him to.

On the other hand, I understand why Martin didn’t win it: why give the same award to the same person for the same character? We already know he’s brilliant at it, he already won the BAFTA. So let’s give it to someone more deserving. And they did. They did.

Andrew Scott, because (with a little help from the writers and creators) you turned a mildly evil baddie, into an iconic, fucking scary, maniac psychopath, you deserve all the BAFTAs.

” (…) in that moment I realize what — more than the tiles, trams or water — endears Lisbon to me. It has a humility that is rare on a storied continent with so much reason and readiness to boast.

I wasn’t told to approach it on bended knee. I could instead stumble upon it, tumble into it and let it lift me up.”

A lovely article about an American journalist that fell in love with Lisbon by accident.

Benedict and Matt’s present Steven Moffat with the Special Bafta.

Nobody laughed at Benedict’s jokes. Sure, they were awful (who wrote those anyway?), but just a little polite laugh? Just for the ambiance of the show? It was a room full of actors, for god’s sake, surely they could pretend to be amused a bit better than this?

Oh the irony. *amused*

Andrew’s win for best supporting actor

Amazing moment.
